This is my favourite, I love it. It is a delicate little pendant with some amethysts which is one of my favourite stones. It looks great against a black top and I might just have to wear it on my girls night out in a few weeks.

This brooch is a cute little number. I have never worn it though, I do like it but I kind of forget about it (obviously, as it hasn't come out of the cupboard since we moved 17 months ago).

These rings were the first things that Granny Kit gave me. They are probably not worth much but when she gave them to me I felt so loved. I don't think these are family heirlooms, just pieces that she has bought over the years and are definitely antique. This one is a cluster of small diamonds that make a larger diamond shape.

This little number has been worn on my hand since I brushed the dust of them earlier this week. I think it is beautiful ruby ring with small diamonds all around it.

The one below is my engagement ring. This one just blew me away. It has so much family meaning and so sentimental, I couldn't believe Alastair's grand mother and father trust me with it. It has been in the family for many years and has a lovely story behind it. It was a gift to Alastair's great grand mother or great great grand mother (I can never remember) on her 25th wedding anniversary. All of these pieces will be travelling back to Australia with me and I hope that one day I will be able to pass them on to a future daughter and the little monkey's wife (scary).

I adore that ruby ring. I had one similar to that but lost it :( So buggered. I must put it on my wishlist.
Wow Simone, what beautiful, amazing pieces. I love jewellery with a story behind it.
