14 Weeks

Today I am 14 weeks pregnant. God the time has gone so slow. I kept it a secret until 12 weeks and that seemed like an eternity. I am feeling great, just really really tired. What's new? Luckily my parents have been down for the last 4 weeks so that has been a big help and we had a week's holiday when I was newly pregnant.
I have had a little big of morning sickness but nothing to write home about. I had none with Oliver but I could count on 4 fingers the number of times, I felt sick and usually it was self inflicted where I didn't eat breakfast straight away or had my vitamins before eating breakfast.
Names are already posing a problem for us. As usual. There is one name we both like and one name I love but hubby doesn't. God, I have to work on him to like it, I really do because the name we both have on our list is slowly but surely coming down my list. The thing is, this time I get final say of the name but both parties need to like the name. I think he is doing this on purpose, not liking any of my names so in actual fact, he is getting final say.
Girls names are not a problem, we have that sorted. So, maybe I better just have a girl! If there is any one out there good with coming up with boys names, please let me know.

My exciting News

This little tiny thing is growing inside my tummy. Of course Oliver let the cat out of the bag by telling my sister that Mummy had to go and get her temperature checked on her tummy and drink lots of water. God bless at 2.5 year old!
I am convinced it's another boy. Due date 12th May, 2010.

My Latest Purchase

I have been missing in action lately. Sorry. No real reason, though I have been busy. One thing I have been doing is supervising the HSC exams. It is so much fun, I love it and I will love the money when I get paid for it just in time for Christmas shopping and a little something for myself.
Next week I might have some exciting news to share with you though, so stay tuned.

So for now, here is my latest purchase a Mimco purse which was a bargain price of $40 reduced from $170. It replaced my probably 10 year old Jag purse which had definitely seen better days.

Date Night

Well I guess you wouldn't call it date night as we went out with 6 other people but it was a night out all the same. Without the little one. Who didn't want us to go so we had to settle for bribery which involved some matchbox cars.

We ventured way way over the other side of the bridge to Surry Hills. It was nice for a change. We had a lovely dinner with great company and great wine. But what would I know hey, I was the designated driver. Stupid decision that was.

After dinner we went to a really nice wine bar that had just opened up. It had such ornate chairs and chandeliers, fit for a king (or queen). It was just gorgeous. But ever so dark. Why are places so dark these days? Or am I just getting older?

I love date night. Or just a night out every now and again but I was so pleased to get into bed. Sleep is just so precious these days. Much to my hubby's disgust we said goodbye at midnight. I think that was a pretty good effort.

PS I am back from holiday. :(

Oliver's Room

Here is Oliver's big boys bedroom in the UK. I am not entirely happy with it and keep changing it but this is as good as it will get for a while. A few things came from his bedroom in England and some are new pieces. If you see any nice wall art that might suit his room, please let me know.

PS Does anyone know what the hell I have done with my layout and how I can fix it?

Happy Fathers Day Hubby

This is what we got hubby for Fathers Day which is this weekend. Oliver let the cat out of the bag and told hubby as soon as he got home from work even though I told him it was our little secret. So tonight, when hubby got home, Oliver told him we got him a work shirt. The night before it was a tom tom. Hopefully it has kept the truth at bay at least until Sunday. Tomorrow, I might encourage Oliver to tell hubby we bought Daddy a pair of cufflinks. That way he won't know what the truth is.
And because I know hubby reads myblog, I am not that silly to say exactly what we got him.
Anyway Hubby / Daddy, Happy Father's Day. You truly are the best a person can have. xxx
