Rapee Sale

Today I am off to the Rapee Sale in Chatswood hoping to find myself a bargain or two. I really really need a new bedspread for my bed and I have been holding off buying until after this sale. Wish me luck

Oliver's Christmas Presents

I am happy to say I have almost finished my Christmas shopping. Oliver is one lucky boy this year. His first and last VERY LAST lucky year. He has asked Santa Claus for some match box cars and a box (to make a kitchen).

He is also getting a stack of things in his santa stocking most of which he needs. Undies, Back Float, Rash Shirt and Board Shorts, Magentic Book, Beach Chair, Stamps, Fishing Line and how could I forget some match box cars. I am sure there is more but I can't remember them all.

16 Weeks

My god, the heat is exausting already. How will I cope through February, the hottest month of the year. Being pregnant and my first summer for 6 + years in Australia is going to make it a very tough time. But if that is all I can complain about then I am a happy woman.

Nothing major this week to report on the pregnancy only that it is the only slowest pregnancy in history, so I am going to talk about Christmas. I am gearing up for Christmas and I can't wait. My shopping is almost over. I have hubby to buy for and a few odds and bobs. My plan is to finish this weekend before December 1st comes on Tuesday. All I can say is, Oliver is going to be one lucky boy. I will post some pictures of the things he will be getting over the weekend. I just have to finish his santa stocking and I am trying to make them things that will get used and not thrown on the floor and forgotten about.

Decorations and the tree will be going up this weekend as well. How exciting. Christmas has never been this much fun. Having a 2.5 year old makes it like being a child again. I have ordered the Christmas cards, started organising the advent calendar for Oliver and written up my Christmas list.

It is definitely starting to feel a lot like Christmas (and pregnancy and summer).

43 Degrees

Oh.My.God.

It was 43 degrees celcius here in Sydney today. It was a stinker. How am I going to cope with this pregnancy all through summer if it continues like this.

Thank god for the beach, it was so refreshing to jump in the water and cool down. The temperature was still hot at 7pm last night when we came home. The breeze was so hot and horrible. What have we got ourselves in for? How am I going to cope through summer like this?

On a brigther note, in about 10 days time, I should get these swimmers in my hot little hands to cool me down and make me look half decent through this pregnancy. The other cheap ones I bought for $20 fall off me as soon as I hit the water so I hope these don't do the same. They were cheap as chips as well for $69 USD. Bargain. Why can't you get swimmers this cheap in Australia?

Now this week is full of busy-ness. Finishing Christmas shopping, play dates, swimming lessons and generally trying to stay cool. Oh and Christmas decorations are going up next weekend. I don't want to wait until the 1st December, I am too excited. 4 weeks and I will be on holidays, bring it on. I can't wait.

Week 15

I am still so tired. I don't remember being this tired with Oliver. God, I could sleep all day if I could and I feel so lazy. The heat is making things tougher as well. I am definitely not going to get used to this hot summer with a baby belly as I didn't have to worry about it last time.

Time is going so slowly. I am only 15 weeks, it feels like 15 years. I know I shouldn't be wishing the pregnancy along but I just wish my tummy would get big enough so it looks like I am pregnant and not just looking like I have put on some weight.

I bought my first few maternity items and I am determined to get my swimmers before the summer has finished. I am tossing up between a few pairs that are all in America and of course the postage is nearly as expensive as the swimmers but at least the exchange rate is looking good at the moment.

On other non baby news, I am determined to finish off my Christmas shopping this weekend and all online! Got to love the internet.

Maternity Swimmers

I am on the hunt for the perfect pair of swimmers that will also hide a little baby bump. I bought a pair of cheap halternecks for $20 and they are bad. So so bad. Halternecks and my puppys definitely do not mix. So I am on the hunt and anything I like of course is very expensive or from America where they cost a fortune for postage. So please, if you know of any good maternity swimmers please let me know. I am desperate for a nice pair as I plan to be at the beach A LOT this summer.

Here are some that I like.

14 Weeks

Today I am 14 weeks pregnant. God the time has gone so slow. I kept it a secret until 12 weeks and that seemed like an eternity. I am feeling great, just really really tired. What's new? Luckily my parents have been down for the last 4 weeks so that has been a big help and we had a week's holiday when I was newly pregnant.
I have had a little big of morning sickness but nothing to write home about. I had none with Oliver but I could count on 4 fingers the number of times, I felt sick and usually it was self inflicted where I didn't eat breakfast straight away or had my vitamins before eating breakfast.
Names are already posing a problem for us. As usual. There is one name we both like and one name I love but hubby doesn't. God, I have to work on him to like it, I really do because the name we both have on our list is slowly but surely coming down my list. The thing is, this time I get final say of the name but both parties need to like the name. I think he is doing this on purpose, not liking any of my names so in actual fact, he is getting final say.
Girls names are not a problem, we have that sorted. So, maybe I better just have a girl! If there is any one out there good with coming up with boys names, please let me know.
