Relax, it is found

So after numerous phone calls to a stupid answering machine all weekend, I finally got to speak to someone who located the lost luggage. Who knows what happened to it but frankly, I don't care. I am just relieved that it has been found and will be in my hot little hands tomorrow and hopefully undamaged.

Now I can relax and check out the photos from Spain.

It was a nice time if Oliver's sleeping hadn't been so crappy. I have been to better places but I have also been to much worse. The best place by far is Santorini in Greece and the worst would have to be a long weekend in Prague, holiday from hell.

Now to plan the next holiday which will be a car trip to Byron Bay or Noosa or somewhere similar.

We are Back

Spain was pretty good, wouldn't go back to that part though. It was South of Alicante but very remote and not a lot to do. Costa Del Sol is much much better. The weather was OK but gosh, Oliver's sleeping was the pits. I didn't feel rested when we left and was pleased to be returning home. I think Oliver was relieved as well as he slept quite well last night, for him. The only thing was, the stupid airline and luggage staff lost our car seat and pram. Thank god for neighbours who have a spare of each for their grand daughter so we can use that while they locate ours. I am actually really worried they won't track it down and have a feeling something iffy happened. Everyone's bulky luggage went missing and noone had any explanations which made everyone feel worried. I have checked our travel insurance and the pram won't be covered for the full amount but it should be covered under our home insurance as Alastair has already called them. I have been told that Ryan Air should cover it though - bloody budget airlines. Everything got to Australia and back alright so we never expected this to happen. Of all things to lose, the bloody car seat, they didn't care less how we were all going to get our children home. My father in law threatened them he would call the police and ask them how they suggest we get our children home but that didn't seem to bother them too much either. What a way to ruin our holiday.

We had news while we were away that we need to provide immigration with more information. It seems Alastair should be getting a permanent visa which would be brilliant news so I will get that information off to them this week.

Sun Sea and Sangria

On Saturday we are off on a week long family holiday to Spain. It is with my in laws so I am hoping for a nice relaxing time with not too many worries. I am sure a lot of sangria will be consumed and hopefully the sunshine will suck this cold out of me. I hate being sick on holidays but it always seems to happen lately. I also hope my little monkey doesn't catch it from me. He missed child care last week due to high temperatures and as I dropped him off this morning, he cried his little heart out. It broke my heart and didn't want to leave him but I had to put on a very brave face. I did call after I arrived at work and they said he was fine so hopefully the rest of the day goes smoothly. And then we have a nice extended family break next week where he will be smoothered by Mummy, Daddy and Grand Ma. Grand Dad is not quite excited about children so I won't have to fight with him for Oliver's attention.

I will be back with happy snaps later in the month.
